| Decalprodukter, Småland, has invested in Inca Digital's Eagle 44 flatbed wide-format ink-jet printer. After looking at various options Decalprodukter's managing director Stefan Claesson travelled over to Cambridge, England, to view the press working. The Eagle will be used to print on rigid substrates such as plastic and corrugated card up to 40 mm thick to produce signs, corrugated board displays and advertisements for this screen printing company. Decalproduckter intends to use the full 360 to 720 dpi range, in producing mainly four-colour work. The digital technology that the press provides means that Decalprodukter can use it to run proofs and samples as well. Claesson says of the Eagle: "We looked at other options internationally but the Eagle seemed to provide the most comprehensive package. It works consistently and efficiently, has the capability of printing on different substrates of various thickness and is much faster than its competitors. Inca Digital's partnership with Sericol Imaging and Xaar printheads was an added attraction to us." |
