Houston Photo Imaging has become the latest North American photo lab to install the Inca Digital Eagle into its shop. Houston invested in the Eagle to reduce costs, achieve longer run lengths and improve print quality.



Steve Hogan, president of Houston Photo Imaging, says: "The Eagle allows us to print directly onto rigid materials without lamination or mounting costs, allowing us to compete successfully in longer print runs. We looked at all of the flatbeds out there and through our research discovered that the speed and print quality of the Eagle places it far beyond any of its competitors."

The simple to operate Eagle press is designed for optimal speed output and print quality on rigid and flexible stock. It uses UV ink enabling it to print on a multitude of substrates, including styrene, board stock, abs, foam board, gator board, foamex, acrylic, static cling, PVC, vinyl and many other materials. The press can handle sizes up to eight feet long and 63" wide. Printing double sided, a major request in the in-store point of sale market, simply requires flipping the board over and printing the opposite side. The Eagle offers three operational settings ranging from 300 to over 1,000 square feet per hour.

Of great importance for our business is that the Eagle is more cost effective than Lambda or Lightjet printing for larger runs.
