McGowans Digital Print in Dublin, Ireland has taken delivery of an Eagle. The company which started 12 years ago has recently been recognised as the Digital Printer of the Year and runner up in an international digital print awards ceremony.

Director Mal McGowan says: "McGowans policy is to continuously scan the world market to invest in new and superior digital print technology to ensure we bring our customers the highest quality digital printing. The investment in the Eagle is an excellent move, it increases our capabilities considerably. It allows us to be more creative in our activities."



McGowans will use the Eagle for applications such as point of sale, superlites, posters, bus sides, and sign printing. McGowans will also use the printer to produce proofs and samples as well as the final product.

"We had been monitoring the progress of the Eagle over a two year period and were very excited about the technology that was developing. We are proud to say we were one of the first companies to place an order. Using a digital printer is saving us a lot of both time and money, and using the Eagle provides our customers with a high quality result," says Mr McGowan.

McGowans is making use of the Eagle's full capabilities by printing on substrates such as display board, corrugated board, metals, poster paper, vinyl and on formats right up to 2.5m x 1.5m. With the Eagle on board McGowans can not only provide its existing customers with more options but will allow it to approach new target groups.

"No other machine in its market offers the quality, speed and reliability of the Eagle. It is the only real production digital flatbed inkjet press available to the screen market at the moment.
