Stockport based Cestrian has invested
in the latest technology, a Columbia large format inkjet printer
press.

The arrival of the Columbia in early March
coincides with Cestrian adding a 24,000 sq ft extension to its existing
38,000 sq ft premises. Part of this will be used to house the Columbia.
Cestrian produces point of purchase, outdoor advertising and other
large format work for a variety of blue chip companies, high street
retailers and advertising contractors.

Managering Director of Cestrian Paul Whitehurst said: 'We are excited
at being the first to welcome this fantastic technology with the
phenomenal market opportunities it offers us. the Columbia is bigger,
faster and higher in quality than anything we've seen.

'The technology, and more importantly, the engineering that Inca
has used will set the future standard for digital. We run all of
our presses in a commercial environment, running them twenty four-seven,
so we need durability from a press. The Columbia is so well engineered
it leads its competitors when it comes to durability.'

Cestrian already has its first job lined up for
the Columbia, work from a large blue chip company, which in the
past could not be cost effectively produced. Cestrian produced the
Fort Dunlop poster that is accredited as the worlds biggest poster
ever. With the Columbia on board they are hoping to beat their own
record.
