A year after the first Inca Digital Eagle was installed Imprint Creative
Print Solutions has installed its second Inca Digital large format
printer.
General Manager Dave Bullivant says: 'Since
taking the first Eagle our productivity has increased dramatically,
the Inca technology fits into the niche market Imprint serves and
demand has been incredible. The business plan was always to have multiple
Inca's and the second machine is part of that long term strategy.'

Depending on run length, Imprint plans most of its four-colour process
jobs straight on to the Eagle. Inca technology is ideal for the quick
turnaround of jobs demanded in today's competitive market place. Many
of the jobs Imprint schedules on the Eagle are customer-driven as
the market looks to make the most of the Eagle's ability to print
on surfaces that could not previously be achieved.

Imprint is one of only a handful of printers in the UK that offers
four forms of printing technology to its customers - litho, screen,
flatbed digital and conventional digital.

'The future of print lies with digital technology, and having both
the flatbed digital inkjet and conventional screenprint gives us incredible
flexibility. The two technologies complement each other and enable
us to offer a more diverse range of printed media to our customers.
The Eagle offers a cost -effective alternative for those short-run
variable data jobs. With the Inca we can diecut the substrate before
it goes on the bed, this isn't possible on a screen print press.'

Mr Bullivant says: 'After investigating other machines in the market
place we still felt Inca was by far the most advanced and fitted perfectly
into the market we service. Imprint is always very keen to keep up
with the latest technological developments. This latest version of
the eagle offers a finer resolution, at a quicker speed and produces
a better quality print but with the same flexibility. Inca has modified
the way the ink heads are cleaned, and the way the ink is dispensed,
which are both huge time saving benefits.'

'Having two Eagles which are compatible is such an asset to our business
and our customers. On longer runs we can use both machines simultaneously
or alternatively swap jobs between machines. The increased flexibility
that this provides us as a company can be translated into real commercial
benefits for our customers. ' |
