ENVIRONMENTAL
POLICY STATEMENT
As a market leader, Sericol is committed to minimising
and preventing pollution wherever possible.
Our environmental impacts include emissions to air,
discharges to water and the generation of waste.
To reinforce our proactive policy on environmental issues, Sericol not
only complies with legislative requirements but also operates a management
system in accordance with BS EN ISO14001: 1996.
It is Sericol's policy to:
- regularly review and monitor our impacts and activities
and set objectives and targets as a process of continual improvement
- proactively design and develop products with a reduced
environmental impact
- reduce waste through better use of raw materials,
energy, water, re-use & recycling
- work with our customers to reduce specified substances
harmful to the environment
- provide appropriate training and education to employees
- provide adequate resources to maintain the environmental
management system
- provide a copy of this policy statement on request
from the Management Systems Manager - Europe.
SCOPE: The design, manufacture and distribution of screen
printing inks, narrow web flexographic inks, digital inks, screen making
products, speciality coatings and allied products at our Broadstairs site.

requirements of BS EN ISO9001:1994
- appoint a Management Systems Manager - Europe to
operate and maintain the system on behalf of the Managing Director -
Europe whilst the ultimate responsibility lies with him
- ensure that the Company management has responsibility
for administering the policy and employees have responsibility for carrying
out procedures in the quality manual
- provide appropriate training and education to employees
- commit to a process of continual improvement through
objectives and targets.
